At the same year, he became a post graduate student for PhD on a national scholarship to study abroad. After his PHD study in Royal University of Groningen, Institute of Social Studies and the T.M.C. Asser Institute The Hague, Yufang became an Assistant in Education with Erasmus University Rotterdam. Yufang started his career in providing professional international legal and financial services since the early 1990s, first as the China Desk Manager of Deloitte, Director of China Practice of Linklaters & Alliance De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, Director Asia Practice of Arthur Andersen, and Chairman of Asia Team of the British Law Firm Bird & Bird.
