Maarten Vijverberg


Mr. Vijverberg has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions. His career started from NIBC Bank in 1984, focusing on M&A. He joined PWC during the wave of the rise of M&A in Europe. He became a member of the corporate finance advisory department of Deloitte in 1991.

He joined BoerCroon as a the Managing Partner in 2005 and focused on developing the corporate finance department and the related consulting services for the company. He became a Board member of BoerCroon in 2008 and served as a global partner and CFO of Clairfield International.

Mr. Vijverberg set up Clifton Finance in 2014. He is specialized in providing advisory services on M&A as well as strategic consulting, transfer of ownership and corporate management for local Dutch family enterprises. He focuses on the sectors including but not limited to manufacturing, food, retail, and business services. Mr. Vijverberg also published two monographs ‘Onderhandelen; bij koop en verkoop van een onderneming’ (2000) and ‘Fusies En Overnames’ (2002).

Mr. Vijverberg is a partner of the Jomec Group. He is active in the wave of cross-border M&A between China and Europe.
